Meet the Founders
Danai Balatsoura
Danai Balatsoura is currently working as a trainee lawyer at the Zepos & Yannopoulos law firm, specializing in Corporate, M&A and IP law. She holds an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has been balancing her legal career with vibrant extracurricular pursuits; she is a world champion in Gymnastics for All and has performed at major events all around the world. Now she also serves as a coach and choreographer.
While competing at an international level, Danai was awarded the Moving the Education Forward Scholarship for receiving top marks in the panhellenic exams.
Fluent in Greek, English, and French, Danai’s international experience includes an internship at the General Consulate of Greece in Boston, being the leader of the Greek delegation at the 2023 International Gymnastics Federation Gala in Amsterdam, and overseeing the production of global shows and events, such as America’s Got Talent.
Outside her professional and academic life, Danai finds pockets of inspiration in singing, dancing, collecting architectural magazines, exploring film photography, and immersing herself in music. Her time with children as a coach brings her true fulfillment and consistently fuels her life with creativity.
As she advances in the legal profession, her mission remains clear: to serve with dedication and passion.
Balancing her legal career with her artistic and gymnastics endeavors has been both a fulfilling challenge and a profound life lesson; it is the seemingly unrelated dots that create the bigger picture.
At LAB, she serves as Executive and Creative Director.
Ioanna Papageorgakopoulou
Ioanna Papageorgakopoulou is a legal trainee at the international law firm A&O Shearman, Frankfurt office, supporting the U.S. Corporate Finance team. She previously completed a six-month traineeship with the U.S. Capital Markets team of White & Case, Frankfurt office.
After spending a study-abroad semester at Humboldt University of Berlin focusing on intellectual property and antitrust law, Ioanna earned her LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (First Class Honours, top 3.5%). Additionally, she holds a Minor in Psychology from The American College of Greece as a Stavros Niarchos Foundation merit scholar.
In 2021, Ioanna was selected to represent Athens Law School as both-side oralist in the 12th Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition, achieving the 7th place worldwide for the respondent's oral pleadings. As Co-Founder and President of Just in Case, she has organized and moderated a series of influential legal conferences and events since 2021. Just in Case is a student-led legal community within Athens Law School that offers free-access legal conferences, debates, and workshops, connecting law students with the Greek and European legal markets in collaboration with academia and national and international law firms.
While in law school, Ioanna interned at leading law firms across Athens, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Munich, including Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, Watson Farley & Williams, ANAGNOSTOPOULOS, Bernitsas Law, and POTAMITISVEKRIS. She is fluent in Greek, English, and German, and has intermediate knowledge of French.
Beyond law, Ioanna has been playing the electric guitar and collecting vinyl records since childhood. When she first moved to Berlin, she started exploring the world of disc jockeying. Her sets now range from 70s/80s Italian disco and Japanese soul/neo-soul picks to Garage house, inspired by Larry Levan, and new wave/alternative rock selections. Ioanna's profound appreciation for the depth of aesthetics, music, literature, architecture, philosophy, as well as modern and contemporary art shapes both her worldview and legal thinking.

Dimitris Papadimas
Dimitris Papadimas is an LL.B. candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in International, Public, Commercial, and Banking Law. His academic career is marked by rigorous research, producing papers that explore the nuanced intersections between law and international relations.
Fluent in Greek, English, and German, Dimitris has refined his practical skills through internships, including a notable role at the Bank of Greece, where he contributed to supervisory work on payment institutions and electronic money services, gaining invaluable insight into regulatory compliance and financial oversight.
His time at the Embassy of Greece in The Hague allowed him to engage in international legal and consular activities, further expanding his understanding of diplomacy and cross-border legal frameworks.
In parallel with his legal career, Dimitris is experienced in podcasting, where he has curated and led discussions on legal topics, distilling complex issues for a broader audience.
His artistic pursuits further enrich his profile—he began as a sketch artist and has since moved to acrylic painting on canvas. Additionally, he is working on original music alongside producers and collaborators under the record label to which he is signed. Balancing both legal rigor and creative expression, Dimitris exemplifies the belief that “the intersection of law and art is where innovation and inspiration coexist.”
